breadcrumbs error on the website can be a troubling factor that can lead to a website downfall if care is not taken especially in SEO because it may affect your ranking or can cause google not to index your post.
in this post, I'm going to teach you how to fix breadcrumbs error in blogger so stick with me.
before I dive in let me give a bit of idea about breadcrumbs.

WHAT IS BREADCRUMBS?.



A breadcrumbs/breadcrumbs trail is a graphical control that serves as a tracker of the user on a website it serves as navigation aides and it tells the user where they are on a website and the way back.

so what is breadcrumbs error?, breadcrumbs error is an error encountered when we are trying to index our page and post or when we are trying to request indexing through google search console, this usually occurs when  Googlebot didn't find breadcrumbs trail on our website.
As we all know Google keeps updating its platform to give more good experience to its users by scrapping some old software, which resulted in new policies for websites to abide by, any website that fails to abide by any new updates from Google may get its pages removed from Google.
Among this update is Breadcrumbs, Google update has it was known by many is no longer supporting vocabulary schema data format, the newly supported format is schema.org.

WHAT IS THE CAUSES OF BREADCRUMBS.

1. If you don't label your post or categorized it

2. If you are using an old theme that has not being updated, Google may likely send a message because of this like in the picture below.


3. If your theme does not contain Breadcrumbs code.

HOW TO FIX BREADCRUMBS IN GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE.


If you fall to number 1 which is unlabelled post this is simple.

i.log into your blogger dashboard

ii. Click on post


iii. Click on the post that has the problem on Google search console

IV. Add a new label and name it a suitable name.

V. Go and ask for index again, problem solved.

If you have already labeled your post but the error keep appearing then try the second method I'm going share now.

The second and the third causes can only be solved by replacing or including the latest breadcrumbs code to your Theme by editing the HTML.

HOW TO ADD BREADCRUMBS IN BLOGGER.


Before I start, I will advise you to back up your blogger theme, in case if anything goes wrong you will be able to restore your blogger theme settings back.

1.Log into your blogger dashboard.

2. Click on the theme, then you will see
customize and edit HTML

3.Click on edit HTML

4.Search for this code  <div class=‘breadcrumbs’
or search for breadcrumbs and find code that looks like this.

5. Then cut the code from   <div class=‘breadcrumbs’ to the first closing div tag</div> as it was shown in the picture above.

6. Now copy and  paste this code to the space created

7.save it and you are good to go.

FOR ANDROID USER.

Back up or download your blogger theme use editor like ABC editor to edit it.
follow step 4-6 and save it, then upload it back on your blogger.
